FATAL EXPLOSION AT SANTA FE SPRINGS WAREHOUSE

The fire cause and origin lawyers at Shoop | A Professional Law Corporation are saddened to learn that one person was killed after an explosion and subsequent fire at a Santa Fe Springs commercial warehouse yesterday afternoon.

Fire Department personnel, lead by the Department of Fire-Rescue of Santa Fe Springs, responded to a call at or about 3:18 p.m. on Monday, March 7, regarding an explosion at a cosmetics manufacturing company and warehouse. According to Santa Fe Springs FD representatives, when the fire suppression activities began, the warehouse was fully engulfed in flames and, tragically, a male warehouse employee was subsequently found dead at the scene. Fire suppression activities continued for approximately one hour.

Further chording to sources, the single-story warehouse building encompasses the Innosys Beauty Care IBS, Inc., company. Santa Fe Fire Department representatives further stated that the cause of the explosion, at this juncture, remains undetermined.

Apparently, other nearby buildings and complexes in the business park were evacuated for safety purposes, and it additionally took approximately 70 fire personnel from SFSD of Fire Rescue (in addition to Los Angeles, Vernon, Downey and Compton fire departments) to suppress this Three-alarm fire.
