The burn injury lawyers at SHOOP | A PROFESSIONAL LAW CORPORATION remind the public of an important product recall initiated in conjunction and cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”).

This recalled product – the PowerXL™ DUAF-10 and DUAF-005 Vortex Dual-Basket Air Fryer – poses a substantial risk of burn injury as a result of its plastic, U-Channel connector used to combine the two food baskets. This can cause the air fryers to break during use. For product identification purposes, this recall includes both models of the PowerXL dual-basket air fryer. The air fryers contain two (2) baskets which can be operated separately or otherwise combined in one, single basket. The recalled air fryers were sold in black or reddish colors, with the ten-quart DUAF-10 model and the nine-quart DUAF-005 model. The recalled product has a silver label on the front which reads “PowerXL”. Along the bottom, there is a white label on the unit’s power cord that lists the model number.
