Attorney David Shoop was named as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. The Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum include lawyers who have represented clients in cases that resulted in an award or settlement of at least one million dollars. There are less than 1% of attorneys in the United States who are members of the Forums, amounting to a total of over 5,000 members throughout the nation. There are also members in Canada and England.
The Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum were founded in 1993 as a way to recognize the achievements of successful lawyers and connect members in a network as a way “to facilitate information exchange, local assistance, and case referrals,” according to their website. Members receive the benefits of certification, recognition, inclusion in the member directory, and the ability to interact and work with other members. The organizations invite qualified attorneys to apply for membership, and then applications are evaluated by other experienced lawyers. Attorneys who are interested in membership can also apply on their own through the Forums’ website.
Attorney Shoop has achieved several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for clients during his legal career. In addition to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, he is a member of the State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
