Parents purchase toddler tower stools to help young children safely participate in everyday family activities. On July 30, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of approximately 47,166 HARPPA Nordi Foldable Toddler Tower Stools (Model HANS0002) because they pose serious entrapment, collapse, and fall hazards that can result in severe injury or death.
Why Were the HARPPA Toddler Towers Recalled?
According to the CPSC, the recalled toddler towers contain multiple dangerous defects that can place children at risk.
The agency warns that the towers can:
- Collapse while a child is standing on the platform;
- Tip over unexpectedly during normal use; and
- Allow a child's torso to become entrapped in openings on the front or rear of the tower, creating a risk of serious injury or death.
Children using toddler towers are typically elevated several feet above the floor. A sudden collapse or tip-over can cause significant head injuries, fractures, spinal injuries, or other traumatic injuries. Entrapment hazards are particularly dangerous because a child may be unable to free themselves after falling or becoming lodged within the product.
Reports of Injuries
The CPSC has received three reports of the recalled towers collapsing or tipping over while children were using them. Those incidents resulted in two reported injuries.
